Music Therapy

Lynn Miller is a certified Music therapist. She presently works at Roxborough Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, where she provides music therapy at the bedside.  Lynn also provides Music therapy services for the Department of Aging.  She  has a private practice at the Healing Arts Studio in Phoenixville, PA specializing in Vocal Therapy.

Music therapy improves the quality of life for persons who are well and meets the needs of children and adults with physical, emotional, social or cognitive challenges. Music bridges cultures, abilities and generations. It is also a medium for the soul to be expressed.

Music therapy interventions can be designed to:

  • promote wellness
  • manage stress
  • express feelings
  • promote positive state of mind
  • improve communication
  • improve motor skills
  • enhance spiritual connection
  • raise self esteem

Previous music training or experience is not required to participate in a music therapy session.  Musical involvement helps the participant focus on their strengths, thus providing ways in which those strengths can benefit other aspects of their life.
