Lynn Miller

Lynn Miller MA is the author of SpiritArts, Transformation through Creating Art, Music and Movement, which is a culmination of her experience in Arts and Healing. She offers individual and group sessions in the Spiritarts Method for self-realization through the arts.

Lynn is a certified music therapist who is also trained in sound healing and expressive arts therapy. She received her masters at Lesley University, specializing in expressive arts therapy. Lynn has training and certification in:   Don Campbell’s Therapeutic Sound School, Joy Garner’s Vibrational Healing, Elizabeth Frediani’s, Chakra Healing with Applied Integration and Dr. Donny Epsteins, Somato Respiratory Integration.

Lynn is a faculty member for Flute Haven Native Flute School, with a humanistic educational approach to developing Native flute skills. For eighteen years, Lynn was on faculty for Music for People, an International Improvisational music training program founded by Grammy award cellist, David Darling. Formally, Lynn was an adjunct faculty member in Music Therapy at Immaculata University.  Lynn developed a Creative Arts therapy department and worked as a music therapist at Roxborough Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. She also painted 12 murals with her colleague Liz McIllvaine, creating a healing environment for the hospital.

Musically, Lynn has a background in jazz, folk and world music. She plays the guitar, is a vocalist and specializes in playing unique hybrid instruments inspired by cultures around the world. She performs with the bands Spiritgrass and Mystic Song and has co-created Improv Orchestras.  She has performed at the Kimmel Center, Peoples Light and Theatre Company, Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Open Air Festival in Switzerland as well as small venues and restaurants.

Lynn has conducted workshops at retreat centers such as the Omega Institute, Trimurti in France, Kientelerhoff in Switzerland and Ompio in Italy. She has made Music therapy presentations in India and for the American Music Therapy Association.

Lynn is a visual artist that works in most art forms: painting, sculpture, stained glass, mosaics, paper mache, dollmaking, puppets and printmaking. She has shown in galleries as well as taught art in schools and art centers. She has utilized her visual art skills in community art projects.

Lynn conducts workshops for finding your inner artist or musician in the US and throughout Europe. Home and abroad, she builds community through community arts programs such as: singing workshops, coordinates community-built murals and arts parks, facilitates Giant Puppet builds and parades and creates rituals for communities through the arts.

Lynn has a private practice in Phoenixville, PA at the Healing Arts Studio where she implements personal therapeutic art and music and soundhealing sessions and workshops.
